I have been eating here for almost 30 years. It is always delicious. Portion size is really great and everything was 13.99 tx. The people are the nicest. Never a bad experience. Always a pleasure. The food is really good and kind of serves as a local 'fix' when you don't want to drive to Centreville. An (or Ahn) used to have his garage around the corner, and he is the one that suggested this place to me. An was a famous soccer player back is Korea, and moved his garage to a larger place over near Penn Daw close to the Huntington Metro station. Great guy.
A hidden gem in Fairfax County!!! Happened to be in the area with my friend, and found this joint on Google Map. Don’t be fooled by the Chinese and Korean combined menu. They serve some legitimate dishes!!! My friend ordered Jia Jang Myun and I had O-Jing Uh Bokoom. Both of them were fantastic, and better than Choong Hwa Won in Annandale!!! For Jia Jang Myun, they made the sauce fresh per order, and for O-Jing Uh Bokoom, they put just enough sauce and seasoning, so it doesn’t come with tons of sauce and make the rice soggy. You can taste both dishes with wok qi (鍋氣), and that the proof of the excellent wok skills from the chef! I’m not Korean but I LOVE how their dishes taste like. Owner later on came and checked on us, and it felt like we were eating at our home with some home made dishes! It’s a bit far from where I live but I’m planning to go back again soon!
Do you like food? Do you like food that’s cooked by mom and pop? Do you like Asian food that’s cooked by mom and pop? If any of the answers above is yes, then you have found the right place.
Spicy foods are so closed to Real Korean style. I can’t stop eating spicy foods in here!! Be careful!! spicy food is not a joke!! But I love
The Gan Ji Jang with pork was so savory and delicious! There was so much noodles and sauce it was definitely worth the price! The Tang Su Yuk with chicken hit the spot. The chicken was crispy and hot from the kitchen. The sauce was thick and coated the chicken and veggies very well. We will definitely be back to try more items from the menu! The staff were extremely kind and welcoming and the restaurant might be small but it has a cozy atmosphere and is very welcoming!
This place is incredibly good!!!!!! I’m impressed.
Haven’t been to Hunan Deli in a while, but after a disappointing Korean meal in Annandale, I decided to give them a go. Ordered a small Khan Pung Sal (boneless fried chicken thighs in sweet and spicy sauce). Crispy like karaage, so it holds up to the sauce, which made me break a Sichuan numbing pepper sweat. If you like it spicy, they will not disappoint. I ordered a small, but could barely finish half. I imagine a large would feed a family of four. I’d skip the American Chinese menu and go for the Korean or the Korean Chinese options. With the weather getting cooler, there’s plenty of hot, spicy soups on the menu, and their wings are better than Bonchon. Plenty of Korean customers and military who probably were stationed in Korean and got a taste for the food. Highly recommended.
Phenomenal food and service. The best jajangmyun I’ve had in all of northern Virginia and Maryland hands down. The owner was super nice to my 1 year old and made us feel so welcomed. Don’t let the size of the restaurant fool you, it’s an elite place to eat!!!!
